Were u in the delivery room with your wife/girlfriend while she was having the baby?

  • My friend is pregnant and the dad doesn't want 2 be in there cuss he says that he doesn't like blood and stuff.
If your a guy, were u in the room with your wife or gf?

  • My boyfriend was with me but stood by my head.. he didn't want to see anything either. It was pretty funny to watch him seriously concentrating on the floor while I was pushing away.

  • My Husband passes out at the sight of blood .So he stood at the door of the delivery room. I wish he would have been in there with me.As soon as our kids was born he was there 100%.

  • I was in the room to witness the birth of all four of my kids. Three were delivered vaginally and one was a C-section. Sure there was blood, but I would not have missed any of it for anything. These are still my finest memories and the feeling I got when I saw the births was better than anything else I have yet to experience (yes, even better than the best sex - although that got me there in the first place....).

Your friends daddy to be is entitled to his opinion. But if he refuses to be there, he is missing out on life's greatest moment.

  • my hubby was but was the same way as that guy, if he stays up by your friend head he should be fine just tell him not to go out of his way to look

  • my husband was, if he don't look at were the baby is coming from he wont see nothing nasty,lol..and its so fast he wont see anything long any how!!

  • I was. My wife had to have and emergency c-section, the cord was wrapped around his neck it wasn't pleasant. Lookin back tho I wouldn't have missed it for the world, nothing like holding ur son all gooey or not after he takes his first breath....

  • All Boifriend/husbands supose 2 be in there wit the new born child........

  • My husband was there and it was a VERY hands-on experience for him. He really didn't expect that but when my doctor told him what to do, he did it. He thought he'd come in, pat my hand and stroke my hair and not really have to look at what was going on until the baby was out. Boy was he wrong. But, since my husband is an adult and acts like one, he was fine with it. I think your friend's boyfriend should think about his girlfriend and baby instead of himself. I'm sorry that he doesn't like blood and stuff. I'm sure your friend doesn't like pushing an 8 pound baby out of her body. Sometimes, we just do things we don't want to do.

  • My partner better be in there with me or i'll hunt him down.

How scary going at it alone, I couldn't do it.

I'm telling my bf that he's up the head end with me and he's not allowed to look. I'd like him to want to have sex with me again. heh. I don't like blood and guts either, thats why I won't be watching in a mirror or anything.

    Good luck to your friends.

  • He really needs to be at the moms side! When my little one was born her father refused to be in the room, I really needed him for support! Its not the same as having your mom or a girlfriend
