Nelsen faces FA charge

  • what a load of crap. (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=354033&cc=5739)

there's also a mention of Spurs' interest in Pedersen, but he shoots it down. Hopefully his words are sincere.

  • And the entire Liverpool-Newcastle fracas was laughable...Crouch and gerard should've been walked..PLUS Gerard stamped on Nolan. He could've avoided stamping him.

It's obvious that the FA have their goldenboys and they can get away with anything. Essien was only disciplined because there was such a huge uproar about it.

It's just laughable...until it happens to Rovers!

  • Nelsen getting brought up by the FA for his comments is shameful. The FA need to quit being so ultra-defensive and look to see if there is any validity to the statements brought up. Nelsen is spot on and even an un-biased person could accept the statement if not 100% in agreement.

The punishment better be a fine and nothing more. If he's banned for a game or two the FA will have shown themselves to be the clueless lot we all know they are.

  • Reading the article quoted showed no bias. However, this statement from a BBC article is what probably led to the charge:

He said at the time: "He's got a nice track record of sending off Blackburn players, so something might be up."

Just the fact that it took a month for the FA to decide to charge him shows what a load of crap this is.

its because we are rovers and not a big club but this ref is a d**k because he sent off a player at anfield for a nothing offence and got recinded so this ref should not be allow at our games again

  • what's so funny is I saw Nigel Reo-Coker almost snap Michael Essien's leg, and Geremi slapped Yossi Benayoun and elbowed Matthew Etherington in the Chelsea v. West Ham game alone, yet I've heard nothing of them facing FA action yet. So it's ok to injure someone, but not ok to speak one's mind?

    Watch your mouth.

    The FA is listening....
