Rovers v. QPR, FA Cup third round, 1/7 [R]

  • This is by far one of my favorite days of the year, as lower league clubs get to take a crack at the big boys, and sometimes, they pull off an upset that is talked about for years to come. With that said, let's hope we're not the victim of such an upset.

Todd will miss out with his knee problem, though he is back in training, and Reid is out through yellow card accumulation. Hughes has said that a couple of people may be rested, but we should still have a strong side on hand to take on the Londoners.

  • do you text radio rovers after games ive heard a few who do after matches
I email them from time to time.

If they say Ryan from Alabama, that's me.

I e-mailed 'em last week and said that we should see Peter get a proper run out for QPR! I guess Sparky was listening...haha

But regardless, GREAT result! We avoided any mess or further match congestion by winning handily. Now let's hope we don't get another ManU draw for the next round!

  • Andy Todd!

  • Souness must be feeling quite the idiot for treating our dear boy Bellamy as he did last season. I'm surprised the New Castle fans haven't started burning him in effigy (yet).

  • Todd puts Rovers up with a header from a corner! 1-0.

unfortunatly im not at this game because my brother could not be arsed going because it was wet and cold, soft arse.good news we are 1- 0 up though

  • if Bellamy stays healthy, we'll definitely be better than Columbus. :D

ive been waiting for peter to start for ages because everyone is saying he could be as good or even better than duff

  • Bellamy again, Peter the contributor again. What a debut.

  • Bellamy with the volley now, 2-0.

We're decent in cups lately. ;)

Kudos to Peter; he's been involved in both goals.

  • Bellamy almost rounded the keeper there, but couldn't quite get it on target....

  • 2 goals at Ewood should be able to stand for the next 45 minutes.

Good first half. Any time Bellamy scores I am pleased, man i would love for him to be 100% healthy the remainder of the season.

Seems that Rovers had tightened up defensively too, since the first 15 minutes or so.

And quite an impressive first start for Peter.

    Smiles all around!

  • lineups...Sergio Peter debuts in the starting lineup. (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/match?id=192027&cc=5739)

  • i would have but my brother has the car could not catch the bus because of work
    ok, gotcha.

I was just joking with you anyway.

  • Wet and cold? What a poor excuse to miss a game. If I, a warm weather American, can trudge through snow to get to Ewood as I did for the Newcastle game last year, surely an Englishman can brave the wet and cold. :D :p

he's showing a flash of potential today. If he proves to be a bit of a revelation in the second half of the season, Pedersen might actually be able to take a rest every now and then.
