  • From Phantom of the Opera. What was significant about that?


  • Because it so so dark where the phantom is that you're likely to get punched, choked, eye gouged out, you name it, and you won't see it coming.

    That and you could knock yourself out bumping into one of those unlit iron wall sconces.


  • So when the Phantom would try and hang/strangle you with the rope, your hand would get in the way and you would have a chance.


  • so you would be able to catch the noose when he tried to hang you
